Menter Iaith Sir Benfro

We work for Pembrokeshire to encourage and support the social use of the Welsh language in all aspects of community life. Menter Iaith Sir Benfro aims to foster bilingual communities, where the Welsh language is spoken, heard and enjoyed naturally every day.

By working together with organisations, schools, businesses and residents we develop projects and activities that promote the Welsh language, support community development and contribute to the linguistic and economic regeneration of the local county.

Hirddydd Haf

Following, and as a result of the Urdd Eisteddfod's visit to Bro'r Preseli in 1995, Menter Iaith Sir Benfromwas established on 22 October 1998.

Today we have two offices. The main office is located on the Ysgol Bro Preseli campus in Crymych, and the other in the Fishguard Community Learning Centre. However, we are active all over the county, working regularly within local communities and, according to the nature of the work, we also work from home.
