Creating opportunities for families to use the Welsh language
Menter Iaith Sir Benfro is proud to work closely with key organisations such as Cymraeg for Kids and Mudiad Meithrin, sharing the same goal of promoting education and play through the Welsh language. Through this partnership, we are able to offer a variety of activities and experiences to families throughout the county, strengthening the opportunities for parents and children to use and enjoy the Welsh language.
Over the years we have been fortunate to collaborate with various talented people such as Siani Sionc and Lowri Sion, who create and present fun and creative sessions for young children. They offer rich learning experiences for the whole family. Throughout our work we give family members opportunities to socialize, make new friends and get to know the Welsh language organisations and services available to them, giving support to families where Welsh is not the home language, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and confident to participate regardless of their level of Welsh.
Story Time (Amser Stori)
Story time takes place in a variety of venues, offers opportunities for parents and children to enjoy stories, sing and play in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Stori a Siôn Corn
Stori a Siôn Corn is a festive activity for families, where we celebrate the holiday season in an easy and welcoming atmosphere. The sessions include a reading of Christmas stories, singing, and a visit from Santa! It's a great way to get together as a family, enjoy the Welsh language and prepare for the festival.
