Our community work focuses on bringing people together through the Welsh language, creating natural opportunities to socialize, share experiences and enjoy local culture. We offer a wide range of social opportunities to bring people together through the Welsh language. Our activities include relaxed evenings in the company of well-known people from the world of culture and music, creating opportunities to socialize and enjoy in a welcoming atmosphere. We often collaborate with Gwerin Fel 'Na Mai, a popular and well-known group in the area, to present events that celebrate traditional Welsh music. Through these activities, we strengthen the sense of community and encourage natural use of the Welsh language.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Walking Tours<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The 4C Walk is a wonderful way to get together to enjoy coffee, walking, socialising and lunch! The tours have been running for around nine years and are held regularly with a new location each time, offering an opportunity to see the beauty of Pembrokeshire. The tours are suitable for everyone and are the perfect way to spend time outdoors.\nWaldo Williams was one of the most influential poets in Wales and a native of this area. Through his poetry, he expressed deep ideas about peace and community, leaving a lasting legacy for the whole of Wales. W\u00e2c Waldo is an annual opportunity to remember the poet, to reflect on his work, and to celebrate his special contribution to the Welsh language and local culture.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Gerddi Gleision<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Menter Iaith Pembrokeshire has held 'Gerddi Gleision' sessions as part of the preparations to welcome the Eisteddfod y Garreg Las 2026 to the area. This project comes under the umbrella of the Glas project created by Llinos Mair, and with the help of Adam yn yr Ardd. As part of the project we have been planting daffodil bulbs across the county; a symbol of welcome and collaboration as we look forward to the festival. We are now thrilled to see the daffodils blooming, and we shall replant them in early summer next year to continue creating a colorful and welcoming landscape throughout the county.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Recently, we held the Carnabwth Fun Run, the first one for a few years. It was a great opportunity to bring the community together, where individuals of all ages and abilities could come together to enjoy an evening of keeping fit, having fun and socialising. In addition to the fun run, there was entertainment from Gwerin Fel Na Mai and Dafydd Pantrod and his Band, creating a warm and lively atmosphere on a rainy day. All profits from the event went towards supporting the Eisteddfod y Garreg Las 2026.\u00a0

Cwis Wes Glei is one of Menter\u2019s most popular activity, and has been a well supported quiz for over 25 years! The quiz started in 1999, and the first plaque on the shield still stands proud. The quiz travels around the Preseli catchment area annually, with a new quizmaster bringing his own style and humour.\u00a0
<\/span>The evening is a perfect combination of knowledge, laughter and community intimacy, which is a great opportunity for locals to come together to enjoy friendly competition and to keep this special tradition alive.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For over a decade, the Menter has held the Advent Concert, which attracts audiences from all over the county and beyond, offering a first class musical experience in the company of well-known artists. St David's Day Parade (Par\u00ead Dydd G\u0175yl Dewi)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The St David's Day Parade is a colourful annual event organised by the Language Forum, which has been working diligently for around 10 years to promote the Welsh language and celebrate the culture of Wales. The parade is held in Haverfordwest every year, bringing communities from all over the county together to celebrate St David's Day with music, flags, dancing and lots of fun. Alongside the parade, a window decorating competition is held, which encourages local businesses and residents to take part and contribute to the town's festive atmosphere. It is an event that unites people of all ages and demonstrates Pembrokeshire's pride in its Welsh language and identity.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
